New dental clinic for foreign workers
Male foreign workers who work in construction and shipyard industries will enjoy dental care from HealthServe in Singapore.
‘HealthServe is a non-profit community development organisation dedicated to serving the interests of the migrants, disadvantaged and poor in the local community, regardless of ethnicity, gender, language and religion ‘ (HealthServe 2015). The new dental clinic open from 7pm to 9:30pm every Wednesday at 1 Lorong 23 in Geylang Road Blk 4#01-07. This dental clinic offers a service of cleaning, scaling and extraction. The cost of service is SGD 10 for working foreigner workers and free for those foreigner workers are out of job.
As we stated early, foreign workers are making invaluable contribution to the development of Singapore. They deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. We wish there were more communities to actively take part in caring foreign workers from now on.
