After acquiring two more dormitories on March 2013, one of fastest growing dormitory vendors in Singapore, Centurion Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as Centurion) is increasing its penetration into Malaysia dormitory market. With holding 20,200 beds in Malaysian market, it is undoubtedly that Centurion has become the biggest dormitory operator in Malaysia.

Centurion forayed Malaysia market since November 2011. The company actively bolstered its dormitory asset portfolio by several acquisitions which augment the position of Centurion to be a leading dormitory operator in the region. As early post of our site, ‘Singapore dormitory’s vendor expands international market’, the company has owned and operated 5 dormitories, namly Westlite Dormitory (Tebrau) Sdn. Bhd., Westlite Dormitory (JB Techpark) Sdn. Bhd., Westlite Dormitory (Cemerlang) Sdn. Bhd., Westlite Dormitory (Tampoi) Sdn. Bhd.. Centurion enlarged the footprint in Malaysian market through its recent acquisitions about Westlite Dormitory (Duke) Sdn. Bhd. On October 2012, and Westlite Dormitory (Senai) Sdn. Bhd., Westlite Dormitory (Pasir Gudang) Sdn. Bhd. on March 2013 (Centurion Corporation Limited 2013).

The targets of seven acquisitions are those workers’ dormitories in booming Industry Park of Malaysia. Tony Bin, Executive Director of Centurion, pointed out ‘we believe that the software of managing the dormitory is something we could export over there. It is a scaleable business……’ (Yahoo! 2012). We expect the practical management experiences of Centurion can contribute actively to improve the quality of life of local residents.
